Terms of sale

Updated 30 October 2026

1. Seller and scope

Marque of Time is a trading name of Masters of Motoring Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 15277648. Our registered office is Milburn House, 3 Oxford Street, Workington, Cumbria, United Kingdom, CA14 2AL.

These terms apply when you buy a watch from marqueoftime.com as a consumer. Please read them with the delivery, returns and warranty information shown before you order. Keep your order confirmation. Nothing in these terms removes rights which the law does not allow us to exclude. For business purchases, contact us before ordering; no separate business terms are implied by this document.

2. Products and condition

The product description, model reference, price, condition and included items shown when you order form part of the information we supply to you. Images may appear differently on screens, but this does not excuse a materially inaccurate description. We will not substitute a different model or a materially different condition without your agreement.

Where a watch is ex-display, refurbished or has disclosed replacement parts, read the specific listing carefully. Such disclosure does not remove your rights concerning undisclosed faults, inaccurate descriptions or goods that fail to meet the legally required standard. A brand name alone is not a promise of a manufacturer warranty.

3. Ordering

Check your model, delivery address and contact details before submitting an order. Keep the order confirmation and the information shown at checkout for your records. If you notice an error, contact us as soon as possible. Your rights to cancel are set out in our Returns, refunds and cancellation policy.

If an item is unavailable, a destination is restricted, payment cannot be processed, or a material price or description error is identified before acceptance, we will explain this and will not proceed without resolving it with you. Any payment taken for an order we do not accept will be refunded promptly. We will not demand an increased price for an accepted order without your agreement.

4. Prices, taxes and payment

The currency, total price, applicable taxes we are required to collect and delivery charges will be shown before you commit to pay. Optional extras require your express choice; they will not be added by a pre-selected option. We accept only the payment methods actually displayed at checkout.

For eligible watch orders to destinations we support, delivery is arranged on a Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) basis: import duties and import taxes are covered, with no additional import duties or import taxes payable by you on delivery. This does not make every country or watch eligible for delivery; the destination and model restrictions shown before ordering still apply. If a carrier requests an import payment, contact us before paying so we can check and resolve it. We remain responsible for taxes and duties that the law requires us to account for.

Any promotional or introductory price will state its eligibility and end date. A future standard price is not described as a past selling price. A promotion does not change your statutory rights.

5. Delivery and ownership

Delivery charges, destination eligibility and the agreed delivery estimate will be supplied before purchase. Dispatch is the point a parcel leaves fulfilment; delivery is the point it reaches you. A dispatch estimate is not a delivery guarantee.

Unless we agree a different delivery period, UK consumer goods must be delivered without undue delay and within 30 days. If delivery is late, the applicable legal rights to require delivery or end the contract apply. If an essential agreed deadline is missed, you may have a right to cancel immediately; otherwise a reasonable additional delivery period may be appropriate.

For delivery arranged by us, risk remains with us until you, or a person you nominate other than the carrier, takes physical possession. A tracking scan alone does not remove your legal rights. The exception where you independently engage a carrier not offered by us applies only where the law provides it. Ownership passes when we have received full payment and the watch has been delivered.

6. Cancellation, faults and aftercare

Our Returns, refunds and cancellation policy explains your cancellation and faulty-goods rights and includes a cancellation form. You can contact us directly; you are not required to pursue a manufacturer before asking us to meet our legal obligations. A commercial warranty is additional to those obligations, not a replacement for them.

This receiving addressee does not change your legal seller, Masters of Motoring Ltd trading as Marque of Time. For faulty-goods or warranty claims, contact us for the appropriate return or repair instructions. Our Returns, refunds and cancellation policy sets out the applicable deadlines and return conditions.

The same statutory rights apply to reduced-price goods. We do not make a statutory refund conditional on receiving a third-party credit, insurance settlement or repair authorisation.

7. Responsibility

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach of contract or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We do not exclude or restrict liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, title to goods, or any liability or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

If events outside our reasonable control delay performance, we will tell you and take reasonable steps to reduce the effect. This does not remove your rights concerning delivery deadlines, cancellation or refunds.

8. Complaints and applicable law

Please contact marqueoftimestore@gmail.com or write to Milburn House, 3 Oxford Street, Workington, Cumbria, United Kingdom, CA14 2AL, quoting your order reference and the outcome you seek. We will consider the complaint fairly. If it cannot be resolved, we will provide any legally required information about an appropriate alternative dispute resolution body and whether we will use it. We do not currently promise membership of a particular scheme.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, but that choice does not deprive a consumer of mandatory protections that apply in their country of habitual residence. You may bring proceedings in any court available to you under mandatory consumer jurisdiction rules, including the courts of your home UK nation where applicable. No exclusive foreign-court requirement is imposed.

Changes to these terms apply to future orders, not retrospectively to an existing contract without a lawful basis and any required agreement.
