Updated 30 October 2026. This policy is provided by Masters of Motoring Ltd trading as Marque of Time.
Your right to change your mind
For an ordinary online watch purchase, you can cancel without giving a reason from placing the order until 14 calendar days after the day you or your nominated recipient receives it. If one order is delivered in separate parts, the period normally runs from receipt of the last item. Where applicable law gives you longer, that longer period applies.
Tell us by email to marqueoftimestore@gmail.com, by post to Milburn House, 3 Oxford Street, Workington, Cumbria, United Kingdom, CA14 2AL, or by another clear statement. You may use the form below, but do not have to. Sending the notice before the deadline is enough; you do not need our approval or a returns number for a valid cancellation.
If the watch has already been dispatched, you can still notify us that you wish to cancel. Contact us for the correct return instructions; dispatch does not end your cancellation right.
You can also notify us online through Cancel or return an order. Sign in with the email address used for your order, open the relevant order, and choose the cancellation or return action. These online requests are an additional route; you may still notify us by email, post or any other clear statement, and a valid statutory cancellation does not depend on our approval.
Returning the watch
Send the goods back without undue delay and no later than 14 calendar days after telling us that you cancel, unless we have agreed to collect them. Send change-of-mind returns to the address below. You do not need our approval or a returns number for a valid statutory cancellation.
Change-of-mind returns address:
Marque of Time Returns
Great British Motor Shows
P.O. Box 149
Driffield
YO43 4YT
This is our nominated receiving address for change-of-mind returns. Your seller remains Masters of Motoring Ltd trading as Marque of Time. For faulty-goods or warranty claims, contact marqueoftimestore@gmail.com so we can arrange the appropriate return or repair instructions and any return costs we are legally required to bear. Do not send a watch directly to the supplier or assume an address on packaging is the correct claim destination. Contacting us does not make your statutory rights dependent on our approval.
For a change-of-mind return, you pay the direct return postage cost unless we agree otherwise or the law requires us to pay it. For a faulty, misdescribed or incorrectly supplied watch, we bear the reasonable return costs required by law. We recommend a secure, trackable service suitable for the value and keeping proof of posting. Ask us to arrange a suitable return where we are responsible for the cost.
You may handle the watch as you reasonably would in a shop to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning. Please return it unworn and unused apart from that reasonable inspection, with its original packaging and all accompanying accessories and documentation supplied. If the original packaging is unavailable, use suitable protective packaging; original packaging is not an absolute condition of a statutory cancellation or faulty-goods claim. Opening the box does not by itself remove your cancellation right. We may make a lawful deduction for reduced value caused by handling beyond what is necessary, but not impose a blanket restocking fee.
Refunds after cancellation
We refund the cancelled goods and the cost of our least expensive standard outbound delivery for a fully cancelled order. Any extra amount you chose to pay for premium delivery need not be refunded. A partial cancellation is assessed on the charges attributable to the returned goods and applicable law.
We refund without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we receive the goods back or you provide evidence of having sent them back, whichever is earlier. If we have agreed to collect the goods, the relevant legal deadline runs from your cancellation notice. Refunds use the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise, and we do not charge a refund fee.
Faulty, damaged, incorrect or misdescribed goods
The 14-day change-of-mind cancellation period is not a 14-day limit on your faulty-goods rights or any applicable commercial warranty.
Contact us, the seller, if a watch is faulty, damaged, incorrect or not as described. You have rights to goods of satisfactory quality, fit for an agreed purpose and matching their description. In the UK, a qualifying fault normally gives you a short-term right to reject within 30 days, subject to the statutory rules. After that, repair or replacement and, where the legal conditions are met, a price reduction or final rejection may be available.
A statutory repair or replacement must be free of charge, within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience. For UK claims, a fault appearing within the first six months is generally presumed to have been present at delivery unless we show otherwise or the presumption is incompatible with the goods or fault. This does not mean all rights end after six months.
For consumers protected by EU rules, the seller’s legal guarantee is normally at least two years from delivery, with national rules sometimes offering more protection. Any commercial warranty is separate. We will honour applicable mandatory local rights rather than impose a shorter blanket period.
A receipt is helpful, but other reasonable proof of purchase can be used. A manufacturer warranty, return authorisation process or carrier claim does not replace your rights against us. We do not require you to accept store credit instead of a statutory monetary refund.
Exceptions
The cancellation exception for goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised applies only where such an item is actually offered and clearly identified before purchase. It does not cover every special-order or sourced-to-order watch. It does not remove faulty-goods rights. Ordinary sale-price or ex-display status is not by itself an exception.
